This entire table was finished in custom colored mix of Rubio Monocoat's Oil Plus 2C. This Molecular finish is as hard wearing as the wood itself, safe to eat off of, and allowed us to warm up the color of the wood to better match the other wood tones in the home. Building tables of this size really makes us grateful for the large workshop operating space we have. At 10 feet long, even sanding the table can be a difficult task.

When it comes to both custom and collection orders, delivery is almost always as exciting as the builds itself. While we don't usually hand deliver past 150 miles from JOHI HQ, this table was just too big and heavy to trust to the usual suspects. Instead, we personally delivered the table with added unloading assistance from the team coordinating the client's interior design. As the sun dropped quickly over the horizon, it felt (as always) extremely special to get this dining table situated just right in the client's home.
