Our Process
Human-centered craft meets
modern technique.
We believe furniture should last decades, not years. Our mission is to produce work today that’s enjoyed from one generation to the next, celebrating the home as an increasingly multicultural and multigenerational experience.
Within our in-house manufacturing, we use a mix of contemporary machining and traditional techniques. Rather than approaching our work as 100% hand-crafted, modern techniques ensure our designs are crafted with precision, repeatability, repairability, and care.
That doesn’t mean we remove the human part of the process. Our team excels in both hands-on and digital-forward craftsmanship, and every step is people-centered. From hand-selecting materials and finishes, each piece is carefully constructed by our team.

Designing Intentional Heirloom Pieces
Our pieces are designed as everyday heirlooms—furniture and decor that celebrate the home as an increasingly multicultural and multigenerational experience.
Often, our ideas spark from a collaboration between ourselves as the designers, our materials, and our customers. We love engaging our clients in design conversations and sparking their creativity to bring a vision to life, whether it’s in next-generation versions of our collection pieces or custom work.
An idea then comes to life through sketches, digital models, material references, and prototypes. Throughout the process, we’re always guided by purpose: who it’s for, who it might be for in the future, why it’s needed now, and how it can stay useful for years to come.

Crafted With Purpose, Finished With Care
We prioritize both style and longevity. Whether we’re designing a custom home library or improving one of our collection pieces, we consider materials and elements that allow for easy repair. As a result, our furniture and products stand out in the home and evolve, allowing customers to refinish or replace parts rather than the entire piece itself.
While we account for feel and durability every step of the way, we also consider the impact on the world around us–opting for home-healthy finishes and materials that maintain quality over time.

Responsible Woodsourcing
Our woodsourcing has evolved as we’ve moved and grown. During our initial years, we sourced a variety of tropical hardwoods from Maui, where we founded our studio and workshop in 2019.
Mango, Monkeypod, Pine, Lychee, and even Koa found their way through our workshop doors after being salvaged or found on local beaches. At the time, we worked with slabs, while also sourcing lumber from on-island suppliers.
Today, we’ve grown our product line to rely more on lumber options available in the USA. We work with regional suppliers to sustainably source species from domestic forests and generational mills—often using Walnut and White Oak for premium applications, as well as White Ash hardwood.
