Not Just a Media Console, a Focal Point for Your Home
As part of the Field Collection, this 4-door media console is crafted with exquisite hardwoods that bring warmth and sophistication to a range of interior styles. With this piece in particular, we wanted to offer functionality and bring a wow factor into any home. The visual and physical weight creates a grounding presence that highlights the craftsmanship and materials at their best, sparking conversations and creating a focal point for your space.
We use both exposed and hidden hand-cut dovetail joinery in the console, ensuring durability with a mark of quality woodworking. The continuous grain door fronts create a striking visual impact, inset into an extra-thick hardwood frame. Similar to a jewel, the entire piece is then set into a blackened wood frame.
Building Luxury at Every Step of the Process
In early designs of the Cradle Console, we used premium African Mahogany for the striking grain matching. We’ve since shifted away from using this exotic, vulnerable species in recent years, and currently manufacture the piece using more responsible, domestic hardwoods, such as Walnut and White Oak.
We prioritize color and grain matching in the console to create a luxurious final product, also using wide boards to lend a calming and grounding feel. Once complete, each piece is sanded and oiled meticulously for a smooth finish. Just as functional as it is striking, this piece is suitable for everyday interaction and durable enough for busy homes with kids and pets. From the boards to the finished product, all of our woodwork is produced in-house in our Santa Cruz workshop.
What size TV fits with this console?
The Cradle Console cabinet body is 66 inches wide, making it an ideal length for TV screens sized 48” - 60”. At these screen sizes, the TV widths will range from 43” - 53”, allowing the console to be slightly longer on each side of the TV. This planning allows you to maintain a pleasant visual proportion between your TV and the console. Of course, styling is a personal choice for every home, and there are multiple ways to create visual balance with the console and TV you select. For custom sizing requests, contact us here.
Are there spaces in the back of this console for cable management?
Standard orders of the Cradle Console do not automatically include cutouts for cable management, but are available as a custom option. Contact us here if you would like us to include circular cutouts in each cubby through the cabinet back.
Is there any assembly required for this 4-door media console?
No, the Cradle Console ships fully assembled from our workshop in Watsonville, CA. This piece ships via freight.
How should I care for the Cradle Console?

Is this made in the USA?
Yes! JOHI is a Santa Cruz furniture studio that designs and manufactures our furniture with solid wood. We make our products from a combination of raw materials and sourced components (like metal hardware) directly in our manufacturing workshop.
